Recently, the building 2 of the first phase of ZGC Industrial Internet Park, under the ZGC Development Group, officially obtained a LEED Gold Certification. It marks the park’s remarkable achievements in driving the development of green buildings, promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as making a solid step towards sustainable development and ecological environmental protection.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized evaluation system for the design, construction and operation of green buildings, designed to enhancing environmental responsibility of buildings worldwide. The LEED certification system sets high standards for site selection and transportation, sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovation in design.

The building 2, which obtained the LEED gold certification this time, has fully integrated the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection from the architectural design stage. From the choice of external insulation materials, the intelligent control of the internal lighting system, to the rainwater recovery system and green roof, all reflect the in-depth consideration for future sustainable use of the building. These measures not only reduce the building's own energy consumption, but also provide an efficient, healthy and comfortable working environment for enterprise located in the building.

In addition to these low-carbon innovations in the hardware, the green concept is to be implemented in the building’s operation and management. The measures include garbage classification, encouraging the use of public transport, regular lectures on energy conservation and emission reduction, in order to further enhance the overall environmental protection awareness.
