At the opening ceremony of the “2023 Zhongguancun Forum” and the Global Technology Exchange Ecological Partner Conference on May 27, ZGC Development Group and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on co-building a new type of school-enterprise partnership and jointly setting up a science park for future industries.

BUAA is among the first ten pilot projects for future industrial science parks approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education. ZGC Development Group is a leading market-oriented platform that integrates resources to accelerate the construction of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone.

They will make full use of their resource endowments and advantages to engage in profound collaboration in five aspects, i.e. building a sci-tech achievement transformation service platform, cultivating achievements with future industrial features, constructing a future industrial science park, initiating an achievement transformation fund for future industries, and fostering high-end innovative and entrepreneurial talents.

By capitalizing on the opportunity that BAUU’s approved as one of the pilot projects of “Space Science and Technology Future Industrial Science and Technology Parks”, and leveraging ZGC Development Group’s policy advantages in a new round of pilot reforms, they will strive to enhance their capabilities of transforming research achievements and providing professional incubation, continuously improve the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, build a innovation and incubation hub for future industries,  and take the initiative in future development.

The win-win cooperation between ZGC Development Group and BUAA will further advance the transformation mechanism reform of research achievements from colleges and universities, and improve commercial and industrial application of sci-tech breakthroughs.

Their collaboration will serve as a model for establishing a new type of school-enterprise partnership and spearheading the development of national university science parks in the new era. In addition, their collaboration will speed up the development of the world-class science parks by Zhongguancun and accelerate the global commercialization and transfer of technological achievements.
