On August 21, 2022, the 28th Shijingshan District Sci-tech Week was held in Shougang Park, in which ZGC Sci-Fi Industry Innovation Center was unveiled in the 2nd building of Jin’anqiao.

The Innovation Center will build an internationally competitive development platform for the science fiction industry by bringing together the sci-tech innovation advantages of Z-Park, transformation advantages of Shijingshan District and the industrial legacy scenes of Shougang Park.

The first phase of ZGC Sci-Fi Industry Innovation Center is located in Shougang Park, Shijingshan District, covering a construction area of 21,000 square meters. It was planned and constructed by ZGC Information Valley Company and Capital Science and Technology Development Group.

After preliminary preparation, the Innovation Center has attracted more than 40 high-tech and cultural companies, covering various fields like distributed AI, rendering engine, 3D panoramic sound, UAV, and other characteristic experimental platforms, such as intelligent cockpit lab, metaverse scene lab, 3D space audio lab and etc.

Going forward, the Innovation Center will focus on the science fiction industry, and playa bridge role in connecting technology and market, academia and industry, and three key elements of the sci-fi industry ( i.e. key technologies, original talents and scene construction).

The Innovation Center will enhance the independent innovation ability of the overall sci-fi industry, promote the development, achievement transformation and talent training of the sci-fi industry in Shijingshan District and support the cluster development of the sci-fi industry in the Shougang Park.  

It will also develop its public incubator and public technology platform, bring in a number of sci-fi firms with growth potential, pool sci-fi innovation elements and foster innovation talents for the industry.
