The 8th “Zijin Award·Architectural and Environmental Design Competition” was successfully concluded. By virtue of its project “A Harbor of Ecology & A Dynamic Ark”, BIDR won the second prize of the professional group in this competition.
The theme of this competition is “Multi-dimensional Green·Communal City”. Building a green city is our common goal. In addition to enabling better life, cities also underpin people’s multi-dimensional needs for life, work and culture.
In the face of the global climate change as well as ecological and environmental crisis, it is the historical responsibility of designers and professionals to establish a harmonious relationship between people, buildings, space, cities and nature in the process of urban construction and renewal, so as to achieve green and sustainable urban development.
Closely following the theme of the competition, the task team from the BIDR put forward the design concept, i.e. “A Harbor of Ecology & A Dynamic Ark”.
They drew upon the design experience of Beijing Yizhuang Cell Therapy R&D Pilot Base, and thought about how to plan and design industrial parks in the context of COVID-19 epidemic. Following the design principles of “taking industries as the core” and “people first”, they explore new ideas and methods for planning and designing high-tech industrial communities.
In recent years, BIDR has enhanced its market competitiveness by planning and designing a number of high-tech innovative industrial parks. In the future, the Institute will continue to strengthen the transformation of design and research achievements, in order to providing better professional services for society.
