On November 2nd, ZGC IC PARK held an opening ceremony for the Policy Consulting and Industrial Research Center, Technical Service Center and RISC-V Industrial Ecological Base in Zhongguancun IC College. 

The Policy Consulting and Industrial Research Center, jointly set up by IC PARK, ZGC Industrial Research Institute, Hejun Consultancy, ijiwei.com, Dejun Technology and other partners, is designed to conduct industry and policy research around IC, AI and other information areas, to create a new operation mode of the industrial ecosystem.

The Center has constructed an evaluation index system for IC parks with 4 A-level indicators and 37 B-level indicators extracted from the experience of IC PARK in industrial organization.

It provides industrial and governmental planning services and regularly releases IC PARK Development Report and other related reports every year. Meanwhile, it also offers training programs for local governments and companies, and provides policy consulting services for SMEs. 

The Technical Service Center, co-founded by IC PARK and BJSZ-Tech, Mige Lab, Tsinghua Future Chip Center and other partners, adopts market-oriented mechanisms, such as external partner and excess profit distribution, to integrate quality technical service resources within the sector.

It is intended to provide one-stop technical services for IC companies across the whole cycle, all processes and all scenarios, such as EDA, IP, chip packaging, analysis and testing, supply chain and other services needed in the process of chip industrialization. 

Initiated by IC Park, jointly established by Nuclei System Technology, Source Code Innovation Center for Open-source Chips under the ZGC Science City, RISC-V Industrial Ecological Base is now organized and operated by ZGC IC Institute。

The Base has launched a talent training base and a university program, as well as the “RISC-V Entrepreneurial Plan” worth 300,000 yuan, providing talent training, entrepreneurial support and service, industry-education integration and other diversified services for RISC-V practitioners, colleges and universities, entrepreneurs and local governments. 

The establishment of “Two Centers, One Base”, particularly the RISV Industrial Ecological Base, will further improve talent services and the construction of industrial ecological system, and enable the transformation and upgrading of IC PARK towards “light assets, diversified services and flexible mechanisms”. 

IC PARK will continue to understand the needs of IC-related firms, aggregate the capabilities of enterprises, expand services, explore business models, working with the industry to create a new service ecosystem for the IC industry.
