Recently, ZGC online application channel for IP pledge financing has been Officially launched. Beijing Renchuang Ecological Technology Inc. successfully got a loan of 5 million yuan pledged by a patent of water purification.  

This marks the official debut of “Zhirongbao 2.0”, a newly upgraded IP pledge financing product, which provides firms with a full-chain service, i.e. “IP pledge loan + investment and loan linkage + IP steward”, to help firms grow rapidly into potential tech giants with patent advantages. 

Based on its pilot experience, Beijing IP fully utilized its professional advantages to upgrade Zhirongbao targeted at the characteristics of Zhongguancun enterprises, such as large proportion of IP in the asset composition and the urgent need for financing, to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional financial institutions like its insufficient ability to asses IP value and dispose pledged properties. 

Zhirongbao was launched at the end of 2016. It has since served over 130 firms in total, providing nearly 600 million yuan funds and activating more than 1,200 IP rights. In the last three years, it has served more than 20% of Beijing firms, in terms of number and size, supporting the construction of Beijing’s IP pledge financing system.
