On the afternoon of August 16, 2011, the ZGC Development Group held a signing ceremony for industrialization of the thermal barrier coating project with Beijing Jinlunkuntian Special Machinery co., Ltd.

Beijing Jinlunkuntian is a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production and technical service, which is restructured on the basis of Special Walking Machinery Research Institute and Surface Engineering Technology Research Institute affiliated to China Agricultural Machinery Institute. The company has nearly 20 years of experience with equipment development, process research and technical service in the field of thermal spraying technology, with a number of patents and cutting-edge technology.

The signed industrialization project of thermal barrier coating is the first institute project invested by the Group with both government equity investment and self-owned funds. Moreover, the Group assisted the company to settle down in the Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone, building a pilot test base for the R&D and preparation of thermal spraying materials, a manufacture base of thermal spray coating, and a laboratory for testing coating performance. It is estimated that the company’s sales will reach 600 million yuan after 3 years of production.

Thermal barrier coating is mainly used for heat resisting and heat insulation treatment for hot end parts of aero engines and group gas engines. Its preparation technique is crucial for the development of aero engines and civil gas turbines.  The project has high technological content, broad market prospect and huge economic returns. The investment agreement will play a role in driving the industrialization of research institute projects in Beijing.
